Petitefeet Shoe Sale!

I love shoes and I love sales so when you combine the two together, I'm one happy girl. I went to the Petitefeet Warehouse Shoe Sale today that goes on periodically throughout the year. They have a wide selection of shoes (sandals, boots, heels, etc) from various brands at a discounted price. I went to this warehouse sale last year and bought 6 pairs of shoes for around $120 which I think is such a steal considering how much I would've spent buying these shoes at retail prices. This time, I didn't think the selection was that great and I didn't see many shoes that I liked as much as I did last time. However, I did purchase two shoes from Via Spiga which retails for $185/pair and I got them for $90/pair. It is still a bit pricey but considering that the shoe is made out of leather, is SUPER comfortable (despite the 3 inch stacked heel), and is practical for me to wear out (I'm not a heels person so the ankle straps on these shoes gives me the support and stability I need), I decided to purchase them:

Notice the turquoise-green shoe on the right? Yep. I'm still in my "green palette" phase. Anyway, the sale is still going on this long weekend so if you have time (and happen to live in Toronto/Markham), definitely check it out! I've included a $10 coupon here that I received in my email as well =) Happy shoe shopping ladies!

Green With Envy

I've noticed that I tend to become hooked on certain colour palettes for my wardrobe every now and then. Lately, I've become enamoured with the colour green. Mint green, emerald green, and turquoise green seem to have invaded my closet. I went to Eaton's today and FINALLY purchased the dress that I've had my eyes on for awhile and that I've decided to wear to my graduation (so excited!). Apparently, the dress is only from the Women's Collection from Zara which many of my nearby Zara's didn't carry so I had to make the trip downtown to pick it up. I've kind of made a mock outfit (see below) out of this dress which is pretty close to what I'd wear on my actual graduation date

Clinique + Honey Masks

I really should be working on my thesis right now but I felt I had neglected this blog for too long to not update it. It actually feels quite therapeutic to write something other than my 4th year thesis at the moment. The title of this post kind of deviates from the usual posts related to my medical school applications but I think might be beneficial for those of you guys who might be stressed lately and are prone to breakouts like me. I've been using the Clinique 3-Step Skin Care kit for the past 3 months and have to say that it's been pretty effective in clearing up my skin. I got the travel kit for about $40 at a duty free shop at the Orlando Airport when I was travelling back home from my Christmas vacation.
