Notre Dame Basilica (Top: Outside the church; Middle: Interior of the Church and the organ Bottom: Beautiful wooden stairs)
I love museums so I went to the Museum of Fine Arts as well as the Redpath Museum at McGill (below)
Cirque du Soleil Tents! We saw their show "Ama Luna"
No beavers were harmed in the making of this pastry or the taking of this photograph. They were a perfect snack for a sunny afternoon =)
I didn't have a clear picture to show this but as my friend and I were walking back to her apartment from the Cirque du Soleil show, we happened to pass by swings that lit up from the bottom on the sidewalks! There were many of these strewn along the sidewalks and it was so much fun swinging on them! Aside from the pictures I posted, I also visited the Olympic Stadium, Mount Royal, and Old Port. One thing I did notice is that the people in Montréal speak way better English than I can speak French - everyone who worked in restaurants or even vendors on the streets were bilingual! Makes me feel that I really should've continued to practice my French back in high school. Overall, Montréal provided many fun activities (and dining options!) - can't wait to go back again!
Beautiful photos, Cass! The Notre Dame is magnificent! Would be a beautiful place to host a wedding, can you imagine? Next time, please take me with you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cerena! It was so beautiful inside - I could've stayed there the entire afternoon just admiring the wood carvings. And you are right - it is a gorgeous place to host a wedding and in fact, we saw a bride and her groom coming out of the Church!
